New Hair!

For the month of August, my horoscope forecast read something like this, "...an ideal time to work on your appearance- you can find ways to make changes. Buy new clothes, or change the way you wear your hair." So I decided to go with the way you wear your hair bit.  

I had it colored at Bench/ Fix.

Bourjois is a well renowned French cosmetics line. Founded by Alexander Napoléon Bourjois in the mid-1800s, Bourjois invented the very first powder blush and has been innovating ever since. That being said, Bourjois cosmetics is definitely a fashion-forward makeup line that's totally Parisian chic!

The Blounge: Where Beauty and Technology Meet!

A few weeks ago, my sister and I set out to Quezon City to check out The Blounge!

I love taking trips to the salon to relax and unwind, even for just a mani-pedi, but staying long hours in the salon amid a busy schedule can prove to be quite difficult especially for today's modern women. But with the help of modern technology, it is possible for us to live efficient and productive lives and The Blounge, being the first hi-tech salon in the metro, understands just that! The place is equipped with fast wi-fi connection and complementary iPads for client use to help you stay connected while you are being pampered.

Morgan's Doggie Run 2012

Morgan, my sister's 7-month old English Cocker Spaniel, ran his first ever marathon last Sunday! :) The Doggie Run was held at the SM Mall of Asia Grounds early morning of March 24.

February Girl

Let Your Hair Down

It's been said that starting the (Chinese) Lunar New Year with a new haircut brings good luck; Last week, I went to Bench Fix to get a trim for my ends and a fringe! This was perfect because I didn’t want to lose the length of my hair, but it’s still quite a transformation from my previous hairstyle.  I’ll have it colored soon enough for the completion of this new look!

Cebu Getaway

Hi everyone!!! I'll be dedicating this entry to my first ever trip to Cebu! Finally, I was able to experience the Sinulog Festival Cebuanos and Manila people alike seem to be raving about. All I can say is, you got to see it to believe it! I got so much more than what I expected out of this trip and if I were to sum up my entire experience there into just one word, it would definitely be... epic! :)

*I'll be posting photos I got from Acarie and Kaye, but mostly Acarie who brought three cameras with her on this trip! At one point she even asked me what camera would I want her to use in taking my photo hahaha! How convenient when your friend brings a digicam, DLSR, and lomo cam. :)) Resolutions may vary though... but anyway credits to them!

Day 1- Acarie and I left Manila on January 14, 7:45 in the morning and we arrived in Cebu at around 9. Our Cebuano friends, Kaye and Vanz came to fetch us from the airport and we went straight for Nalusuan Island in Mactan.

After a 30-minute (or so) boat ride, we had our much awaited time on the beach.

Ring out the old, Ring in the NEW!

This time of the year definitely makes you want a fresh, new start. To some, it may equate to a change of perspective, a shift in career, a wardrobe modification, or maybe even a makeover. This 2012, for whatever way you choose to start the new year, may it be old habits you want gone, or new things you plan to take on, the old must go before we can welcome the new. Same goes with your makeup kit!

Now is the perfect time to share with you this Japanese makeup line that recently made its debut in the Philippines, Koh Gen Do. In this post you will read about their primer, concealer, foundations, and makeup remover. Koh Gen Do generally describes their makeup as "high definition" as it is fit for long hours yet natural, fresh and "feels wonderful to wear daily". Their philosophy of 25 years is to create makeup inspired by skincare; free of fragrance, composite pigments and mineral oil that with continuous usage of their products, the skin’s health will be enhanced from within. 

• Maifanshi Makeup Color Base in Pearl White – I use it as a primer for the face, on areas in need of brightening like the eyes. It’s a great cream base that gives makeup long-lasting wear, gives an illuminating effect as it minimizes the pores, and protects the skin from the UV rays with an SPF 16 PA++. All that in one little tube!

Christmas in Baguio

Here's a recap of our trip last December 23-25. We arrived at 6:30 in the morning, in time for breakfast. It being my first time, I was so amused by the sights, people, ukay-ukay, food, and of course, the weather! 


Because Baguio is much known for their strawberries, the moment we saw taho vendors selling strawberry-flavored taho, we simply had to try it!

 

Here's our first taste of strawberry taho! It even has actual strawberries inside, so yummy!  

We had the rest of our breakfast at Cottage Gi's before settling in at the Scarborough Lodge.

We also went to the BenCab Museum, home of the works of National Artist of the Philippines in the field of Visual Arts, Ben Cabrera and as well as other artists' galleries. 

After going around the museum and viewing the different galleries, we went to Café Sabel, located just below the museum. We were lucky enough to meet BenCab himself in his café.
